You never like to see someone get injured, regardless of who they play for. And with the news last night that David Pocock has had another ACL reconstruction the only real benefactor is Michael Hooper.
At his best Pocock has claims at being the best in the world at the breakdown, but sadly constant injury is threatening to ruin what looked to be an incredible international career.
Luckily for Australia the emergence of Michael Hooper has softened the blow as the talented 22 year old filled Pocock's very large shoes over the last 12 months.
With his Wallabies spot seemingly safe for at least the next 12 months, Hooper can focus on building on his stellar start to the season.
Much like Warne and Macgill 10 years ago, Australia are blessed to have a wealth of talent at flanker. Here's hoping the pair can prove to be just as dominant as the leg-spinners.
David here's to a quick recovery.
