"They're the best team in Australia, they made the final last year and it's up to us to take on the best and try to compete with them."
Most coaches love mind games.
And it didn't take long for Michael Cheika to declare the Waratahs underdogs for this weekends enticing encounter against the Brumbies.
Heres the thing though, most people are declaring the Waratahs the best Australian team this year. The players believe it, Cheika probably believes it and now they have a golden opportunity to prove it in Canberra.
Aside from the inclusion of Dave Dennis from injury, Cheika has named an identical team to the one that thrashed the Reds a fortnight ago. And while you can't argue with the results, Cheika attempted to dull the hype saying,
"As I've said before ... we've done nothing, we've had a couple of good games where there were a lot of faults in those games and they've both been at home."
He's certainly hard to please, let's see how he handles what is sure to be a massive game this weekend.
Are you happy with Cheiks? Is he right, are the tahs underdogs?
