Don't you just love a man who wears his heart on his sleeve?
Michael Cheika's response to the Tahs defeat in Canberra wasn't excuses, it was rage. The door to the coaches box never stood a chance after some questionable calls at the death of Saturdays' game.
"There was a lot of intensity and I thought the referee did a pretty good job."
Even though he was clearly frustrated, Cheika refused to blame the referee for the result of the game. He was clearly unimpressed with how the Tahs first 50 minutes played out and how the forward pack capitulated at the scrum.
His displeasure was displayed through this weeks team announcement which included four changes to the forward pack, the most noticeable omissions being Benn Robinson and Wycliff Palu. Cheika has moved Dave Dennis to No.8 allowing Will Skelton into the second row and Potgeiter to play at flanker. Clearly Cheika doesn't want a repeat of last weekends performance where the forward pack was out hustled.
Hopefully the changes work, otherwise you wouldn't want to be a glass door at Allianz stadium.
Did you like Cheika's show of passion? Or was it unprofessional?
