Michael Cheika has been pretty quiet this week after the Tahs error riddled loss to the Force in Perth, the fact that he faces a SANZAR hearing tonight is probably playing a key part in his absence from the media.
Perhaps the biggest talking point of the last two weeks has been the ARU not allowing Israel Folau to play in Perth, a move which has left Folau and the Tahs incredibly frustrated. The ARU overruling the Tahs doctor raised some eyebrows and Cheika managed to say:
"It has been very disappointing for everyone involved the way the process unfolded. Part of the process is they have to go through our doctor."
Cheika has been quiet since then, with most people thinking that he might have been told to tone it down until the SANZAR hearing is concluded. Assistant coach Nathan Grey has been fronting the media over the last 48 hours and all he could offer on Cheika was:
“He is very thorough and very focused and his full attention has been on preparing the side the best possible way to play the Bulls."
It will be incredibly interesting to see what comes of the next 24 hours.
Pay close attention to the results of the hearing, Cheika's media presence could be back in a big way if the outcome isn't what he wants.
