What a terrible week for Michael Cheika. Firstly he has to watch his team throw away any chance of winning in Auckland, and then he has to face a SANZAR hearing over his discipline.
The Tahs defeat, coupled with the $6000 fine Cheika was handed should have combined to make the Tah's coach incredibly angry this week. Hopefully he takes that out on the training paddock and not the sidelines in this weeks game against the Hurricanes on Saturday. In fact Cheika has to be very careful, he has already developed a reputation of being a hot-head, one more major incident could see the public view shift in a negative manner towards him. The SANZAR judicial officer had this to say about Cheika.
"I do not regard Mr Cheika to be a first time offender and it would be farcical to disregard other matters over the past nine years, including proven misconduct allegations from his time as a professional coach in Europe and a warning from SANZAR during the 2013 Super Rugby season,"
That is as clear a message as as Cheika will ever receive, less antics more winning rugby please.
